Objective

The aim is: Well-developed and independent children ready for school and who is ready to get on in the world.
It is the objective of Børnehuset Lillekilde to create a physical environment, which advance the child’s well-being, development and independence. The children must have a safe and challenging day with the feeling that there is room for everybody. We believe that diversity is a strength that creates dynamic.
Together with the parents’ unique knowledge about their children we can create the necessary challenges for each individual child with the idea that the child’s weaknesses can be improved starting out from the child’s many strengths.
It is our task to support the child in understanding and expressing its feelings and furthermore the children must be supported in and learn about consideration, respect and tolerance for its own and others limits. As a daycare center, we have the honor of introducing a broad social context, where the children gradually acquire a curiosity, understanding and acceptance to norms and rules of the game both in the group and in society.
To us it is an important mission that the child – through different interactions – learn to say yes and no and to keep its own individuality.
The pedagogical processes must lead towards the child at the end of the nursery naturally seek greater challenges in the middle group and at the end of the middle group look forward to and is ready to begin in the kindergarten and that it in the end rushes from here with a desire and a joy to start in school. Through its time in Lillekilde the goal is that it has acquired skills and knowledge which enable the child to develop throughout life.
